  1. Are there portable pool vacuums or is there another way to vacuum algae from bottom of pool without it going through pool filter?

  2. All the junk from the pool goes straight into the pool filter system and can cause issues if you connect the hose straight to the suction hole, that why people use leaf canisters or vacuum plates with filter baskets.

  3. How do you prevent the telescopic pole from falling into the water while you fill the hose with water with the return jet?

  4. You’re a savior. Just recently purchased a property with above ground pool and need to learn how to maintain it. Keep it up!

  5. This came from your instructions on vacuuming, what does it mean? Am I supposed to close the return inlet? "Triple-check to make sure the vacuum inlet is the only line open to the pump. If not, particles and debris will also be sucked in by the pump and undo all your hard work." Also, I have a cartridge filter, would that have a "waste" setting? Thanks!

  6. I have two hole openings where I put the vacuum hose, does that matter and which one do I put it in?

  7. At which point do you switch your pump to waste? And turn off the main drain? Those are the things I'm so confused about

  8. My backwash pipe is 2.75" OD, I want to connect a discharge hose to it but I can't find a 2.75" discharge hose, do you known if the 2" hose can be stretch to 2.75". Thanks in advance

  9. Have skimmer plate did some vacuum and now I have no psi..think I have air somewhere how do I get psi back

  10. I have had my pool for 16 years and have been unable to get the vacuum to work. After watching your video we were able to do it by placing the hose down the skimmer!! What a way to clean now!!!

  11. I have what look like transparent , small platelets on the pool surface……anyone know why and how to get rid of them?

  12. I have an Intex vacuum kit and my pool is only 10’ diameter round. It appears that my hose is in 3 sections and I could probably make it less cumbersome with one less section. But there is this white collar surrounding each section’s junction. Is that easily removed or do I just have to get out the heavy machinery and cut it off?

  13. Why put hose in over the deck? Nope, go through skimmer opening. Also, feeding hose into water like a straw is faster and easier than filling via the return. Is that for the graduate program?

  14. Matt,
Would you be willing to do a new video on the types of vacuums? I’m installing a pool now and I’ve seen suction vacuums, pressure cleaners, robotic, battery powered. There are so many different options!

  15. Do you lea e the filter setting on filter or do you need to change it to waste or backwash… I'm very much a beginner with pool care and maintenance.
