⭐️ Recipe details of Instant Idli pops ⭐️
👉🏼 Ingredients
1. Poha 1 cup
2. Suji/semolina 1/2 cup
3. Curd 1 cup
4. Carrot 1/4 cup (roughly chopped)
5. Beans 1/4 cup (roughly chopped)
6. Beetroot 1/4 cup (roughly chopped)
7. Ginger 1 inch
8. Salt to taste
9. Red chilli flakes 1/2 tbsp
10. A pinch of heeng
11. Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
12. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
13. Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
14. Curry leaves 10-12
15. Idli chutney powder/ idli podi 2 tbsp
16. Oil 1-2 tbsp
17. Water 1/2 cup
Method –
1. In a mixer jar take 1 cup poha and ½ cup rava and grind to a coarse powder.
2. Next blend carrot, beetroot and beans with 1/2 cup of water in a blender jar to make a smooth paste.
3. Transfer the powdered poha suji mixture to a large bowl with blended veggie paste and 1 cup curd.
4. Mix well making sure everything is well combined to form a kind of soft dough.
5. Cover and rest for 10 minutes allowing suji and poha to absorb well.
6. Now add chilli flakes, roasted cumin powder, a pinch of heeng and salt to taste and mix well.
7. Grease your hands and take coin size dough and shape it to make round balls.
8. Place the balls in a steamer and steam for 10-12 minutes on low flame.
9. Finally to prepare the tadka, heat a tbsp of oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds, sesame seeds and curry leaves.
10. Sauté for a minute and then add the idli podi with steamed idli balls.
11. Mix well and serve the idli pops with coconut chutney.
