Amazon has it for $459.
One thing that Makita does that nobody else i know of does is they have a flippable arbor bushing, one side is the 20mm or whatever that standard track saw blades use, the other side is 5/8 so you can use standard 6 1/2 inch blades like Diablo. It's ideal when you're mid project and chip a tooth on a nail that was buried in the old slab you're cutting a clean edge on. You can run to any hardware store and find a blade
After watching your track saw content recently, I’ve suddenly become a tool socialist. I believe you should redistribute your immense track saw wealth to the woodworking masses. You can start with me, as I am forced to use a clamp-n-rip and a circular saw, like some sort of caveman.
Try the corded saw with a 110v battery inverter, please. If it works well, that would allow someone to save $400 and still get cordless convenience when needed.
Ive had mine about 5 years. Small shop so using the cord is no problem. Not having foam in the systainer lets me put my TSO track square in there with it.
Being a budget woodworker, I bought the Milescraft track and saw mount system to use with my 7 1/ 4" Skilsaw I've had since 2011. Works great for my purposes and I find the track very smooth as long as you keep it clean between cuts.
For us, who live in Brazil, cordless tools are very very very expensive.
The way is use corded ones.
I have one, but still learning.
Would you mind to test the Makita angle guide for this saw ?
I got this exact saw a week ago specifically because it has a cord. I’ve wanted a track saw for a while but as a non-professional, I could not justify the cost of a cordless one. I don’t do site work, my home workshop is tiny, and my Dewalt 18v circular saw did well enough. My Dewalt tools are easily 15 years old and in great shape. However, the batteries are worn out and no longer available for a reasonable price. It just made sense to wait and get a good corded track saw when the Dewalt batteries quit for good. I’ll probably never wear out a saw or most other cordless tool before its batteries become obsolete. Drills & drivers are perfect cordless tools though. So I purchased a Milwaukee M12 drill/driver set about 18 months ago and love them, particularly for their weight and compactness compared to the old 18v Dewalt drill/driver tool.
Last week I was cutting 1/4” plywood underlayment and only got 2 full length cuts before the fully charged battery quit. So I finally pulled the trigger on the Makita. And it is sweet!
Not to make everyone jealous, but I scored this saw with the 55" track for $350 on FB marketplace. Needless to say, I love it!
Do you have another channel where you make the stuff in your plans?
I have makita 40v plunge saw with exactly same case. For me it is the best solution as I can pack almost all my tools in this case around my plunge saw and carry it anywhere on foot. I like almost every other storage system till the moment I meet stairs. Almost every of my colleague has this corded saw and working with it or started with it and switched it for any type of cordless, mostly 18*2 makita saw.
Just picked up the 40 volt. It's an excellent tool. Cuts like butter.
Most of my tools are makita
