I spent 24 hours birding – here's what happened

Bird migration is the busiest, and most exciting time of the year for birders. I spent 24 hours on my wildlife homestead trying to see as many species as I could!

I’ll be donating a portion of the AdSense earned this month to the Canadian Red Cross to help fight the wildfires spreading through Quebec:

  1. Thanks so much for all of you checking in to see how we're doing with all the wildfires in Quebec right now. We're all good here, and have been largely unaffected by the fires, luckily. Hope you're all safe and enjoying the season!

PS. For those of you who were asking about the full bird species list from the property since moving in, it's in the description of the video???? We're so close to 100 total species!

  2. Amazing video as always! It blows me away how diverse your property is, there's so many species! cheers from washington 🙂

  3. I bet your cat is having the time of its life seeing this much different species in one area, its like finally getting a TV and a cable.

  4. Your content is top of the line. You narrate your videos beautifully. Great job! Love it. ❤

  5. have teary eye watching this, dont know why. but, its really hit the spot. i guess I just missed living my life in a countryside

  6. You need to do video, I helped a fellow (WEST) biologist build a nature pond in town…

  7. I have often considered creating a YouTube channel to make content just like this. This is excellent work, from your title, your content, your property boundaries, your editing and even the video length. I even appreciate the species name and number in the corner of the screen. Very impressive and so happy that someone on YouTube is actually doing birding justice.

  8. What a cool video. Great idea and thanks for doing it. Best of luck with your evolving nature preserve.

  9. Hello Stefano, do you have problems with the House Sparrows taking over your bird boxes? They bully our Tree Swallows and destroy their nests.

  10. Such a great video. I did a yard birding video a few years ago which was fun. I can’t imagine having a big property like that to manage and explore. Keep up the great work.

  11. I've been watching your channel for a while and I just have to say you've improved so much, your camera work and narration is absolutely phnomenal, and you're also ridiculously underrated but I have a feeling you're going to top the charts one day. Beautiful work Stefano this video was incredibly well done regardless of if you hit your goal or not.

  12. Oh my goodness, you are SOOOOO living the dream!!!! Watching from Australia and I am blown away by the variety of birds, and just on your property!!! I am extremely jealous and will live vicariously through your wonderful videos. I look forward to them so much!!! Thank you.????????

  13. Hi Stefan, great video, could you perhaps share the tools you use for the sound recordings, it’s really good
    Thanks
    Andrew in Ottawa

  14. Wow so many birds! The round and fluffy birds are so cute. And their morning songs are gorgeous…. Reminds me a lil bit of my childhood, I used to hear finches and other songbirds singing in the trees in front of my late grandma's house every morning. However, slowly they gone little by little, until there's none left when I was in my high school. It makes me sad, because nothing like waking up to birds singing in the morning.

Love the video, I'll wait too see other wonders your place will shows to you.

  15. Simply amazing video and great captures!! Such a variety of gorgeous birds you have there!

  16. Amazing content! I'm not a birdwatcher, just an avid gardener, but I love your videos. I'm as obsessive about my plants and different critters that live among them, so I get the drive.
