  1. What if you tried an ice cube tray as a mold. That way, all of your pieces can be square or round cubes. Almost like a checker board or someyhing. I think that would be a cool look. And save time on making the rocks.

  2. Oh no. You didn’t. Not Mr Cool. Please give an honest follow up on this as time progresses.

  3. You should do what Blacktail Studio does and paint the wood with fast set epoxy first. It keeps the bubbles from coming out of the wood into the resin.

  4. I've got a crazy idea inspired by this video. Do a small end table to see how it turns out. Try smaller/non transparent pieces of epoxy and see if u can mimic a geo rock. As far as crushed epoxy. Maybe a rock crusher or something then screen out 1/2" 1/4" and 1/8th in and use what best fits the project.

  5. if you don't pre seal your slab sides the heat from the resin can suck air into the resin and create bubbles so usually when I make a table ill pre coat the sides that the risen will be touching with a thin clear resin coat

  6. You should’ve put a bar of soap in a sock and beat de hell outta that epoxy! Oh well, maybe next time.

  7. opalescent is maybe the word you are looking for! awesome result but i liked the failed one more 🙁 it had more color contrast 😀 the second one is a bit pale!

  8. It is possible to over de-gas the epoxy. If you leave it in the vacuum chamber for too long at a low pressure it is possible for some of the epoxy constituents to vaporize and be sucked right out. At that point you don't have epoxy, you have some of the ingredients to make epoxy and it may never cure.

  9. When you’re breaking the epoxy next time try putting them in a freezer maybe

  10. John my guy, get yourself an Air Impact Hammer Kit ????. $15 at harbor freight could have saved you some time on making the rocks!!

  11. Dude, build a giant rock tumbler and tumble them sunsobitches. And putting resin in a vacuum lowers the temperature it needs to harden so if you leave it in too long it'll mess it up

  12. Every video you have to mention your the boss or refer to your team as “employees”. You sound a little elitist. I wonder if you treat them with respect or not honestly.

  13. The opalescent result looks good. If you can find some storage space for the 'failed pour' tables, it could be a 'limited stock' item when you fill a storage bin.

  14. I think the gold and silver were good ideas. Maybe a rock tumbler before your pour?
