I'm from New Zealand and lived in Australia for several years, and I can confirm that they are called biscuits in both countries.

Can you do a bonus short of you guys all doing a TimTam Slam! 🙏🏼💕🇦🇺
I will not accept this Penguin erasure.
The only true test of a TimTam is if you can drink milk through it like a straw
Also, Claire should do a hobnob! Milk or dark chocolate! Or plain!
There is a dark chocolate Tim Tam, so the darker colour isn't an issue, and you could easily use a dark chocolate in the filling. There is also a "deluxe" Tim Tam which gets an extra dipping in the coating, so having a thicker coating isn't an issue.
And a huge thank you. Since going low carb, dark chocolate Tim Tam are one thing I miss. Now I have a starting point for creating a Low Carb version.
Timtams are based on Penguins, which originated (and are still sold massively) in the UK. Penguins date from the 30s, Timtams were made by someone that tried a penguin and wanted to make a better one.
I'm not going to argue over better or worse – I think both are fine, but not special – but it really irritates me when people say timtams are uniquely Australian. They're just not.
Can you try making jaffa cakes, please
"Original Cookies" uh oh, I wonder if they're actually made the Aussie way?
Tim tams in Australia do not contain red 40 or any of those dyes and taste way better than the American ones you guys get
Could you do the French classic Petit Beurre?
I need part two of Buenos! Love you though!
I think stroopwafels would be an interesting international challenge to recreate!
Kurkure from India. It’s the most delicious savory snack from our childhood
Those ingredients are different to the Australian one. And because you've got cookie on the packaging, I'm going to say they're the American version.
The double coated ones are much nicer 🙂
A Tim Tam seems basically the same as what we call a Penguin bar in England – although they are wrapped individually and each one has a penguin themed joke on the back! I’d love to see Claire make my all time favourite, Malteasers!
we defo call then buiscuits. you called this a 'sandwich cookie' and i think some part of my soul shriveled up in protest XD
