I was ARRESTED for flying this drone…

I am no longer a big drone person. Little drones for the win. Current pricing on the DJI Mini 3 Pro is here: https://click.dji.com/ACnP4TvUoTN-kdVzL6dT8g?pm=link Personally ive never had too many issues flying drones. I respectfully avoid crowded areas – away from cities for the most part. But… flying directly over police officers was a very poor decision. Especially with a larger unregistered drone. From now on – I’ll only be flying the little guys! This video is not sponsored.

I was fined 250 Euros by the German Police – so I made sure to use the drone footage in my Self Driving Taxi video here: https://youtu.be/BreeHRtXhL8

  1. I got the Mavic 3 classic because I can fly it nearly everywhere without problems in Europe and Asia

  2. Don't be a nut Zack, get your part 107 here in the USA. Love your efforts and the drone is so amazing! Just wish it was more affordable. Just heard the mini 3 can land map as well. Incredible. Great health to you and yours.

  3. You realize in just a few short months in US you will have more regulatory stuff coming down that changes all of these UAS(drone) rules. The Device ID module will be mandated in most of America, and many countries will probably follow.

  4. My old man has one of these. They're actually sick. Hardy too. He flew it into my face once and then it bounced into the lake. I actually saved it by blowing out the sand from the motors and gimbal, and then dried out the internals with a mini hairdryer at the air bnb, and it worked good as new. The battery was toast though, just from the water, but the freshwater didn't corrode the circuit boards because of lack of minerals and salt.

  5. Mavic Mini is my favorite drone. I have mavics but Mini was is so compact and easy.

  6. Zack do you still need a pilot's license or sell photos or video with the mini? Asking for a friend lol

  7. Yep, wanted to get a drone in Austria and it is a nightmare. Only the smallest DJI drone below 250g can be flown without stupid licenses etc.

  8. Hate to see what DJI gets for that drone, is it hackable to eliminate geofencing restrictions???

  9. German UAS pilot here. You are not entirely right. If a drone has a camera or any sensor that can sniff private information, it needs to be registered even if it is below 250g.

  10. In USA you need to be a certified FAA Part 107 pilot, if you want to use your videos on YT, regardless of the weight.

  11. In my country all drones are prohibited, only the dictatorial government can have them. If they capture having one you may never see the light of the sun again.

  12. EU is not USA,here you cant fly drones in every single building
Im from Spain and here the rules are severe too,so I only fly homemade fpv drones,in case it got spotted and shot down by that anti drone gun they cant know who is the owner,no traces
My fpv builds are arround 500gr so far away of legal non registered drones…
Im tired of stupid laws, thats why I maintain at a side for these type of things,I fly where I can fly safely,no houses and no people,so no laws followed

  13. Don't you guys in the states have to get a license and register your 250g + drones? I thought this was common knowledge.

  14. If a bunch of kids ran over and grabbed my drone and then all the kids started fighting over it, I would probably loose my shit and start slapping every kid in arms length!!! DON'T TOUCH MY DRONE BRO!!!! LOL????????????

  15. The exact 249g weight is extremely cheeky of DJI when they released them. I literally laughed when DJI did this.

  16. Zach, have you looked into manual controlled fpv drones before? I think it would be worth your time to do some digging. I fly recreationally and I have like 3 times as much fun flying those then dji quads. Nice video, gotta love the cool tech
