  1. That's great news! Congratulations on your new apartment! I can imagine how you feel! When we bought our home, I felt both excited and sick. Excited because I knew it was our home (it's still 23 years later) and sick when thinking of the money! I didn't know the Netherlands were also feeling these high prices. I'm in California and it's been crazy. Both my daughters (young adults) are working full time but can't afford to move out. And, as they say, if it's to have a roommate, I prefer to live at home ????

  2. Gefeliciteerd Vera, hardtikke fijn dat jullie eindelijk wat gevonden hebben! Yes, buying a house/apartment is definitely stressful. We bought/sold/rented during our lives in the Netherlands and abroad. It never gets easier. Good luck organizing the whole move. Sterkte en beterschap voor je moeder! Van een mede-gevoelige volger.

  3. Dear Vera, congratulations on your 200.000 subscribers and of course on the purchase of your new apartment. I am so very happy for you. As one sensitive, and yet strong person (as your art also says), I can relate as far as the need to live in a safe, clean and pollution-free neighborhood is concerned. My surroundings are pretty much like yours and, as much as I am grateful for my apartment, I would much rather live in a quiet house with a backyard. Sorry to hear about your and your mother's health issues, they are the ones that matter ana I hope every new day is better than the previous.
Don't worry about making the right choice. Even if it doesn't turn out to be what you had expected I am certain you will find a way to make things work. You are talented on so many levels, one of which is reaching people's souls and minds. One cannot but like you. When you talk so openly I feel like we are in the same room, just hanging around, chatting about our lives. Thank you for keeping me company and making me feel that I am not alone in the senstitive side of life.????

  4. Congratulations and good luck with the move! I'm sorry about your mon, I hope she'll feel better soon!

  5. Take your time !! We are here …. to support you ( and to be supported ) ????????????????????

  7. Congratulations ???? on your new home and the 200k. So happy for you! You deserved. Thanks for the encouragement I always get in your videos. Hope your mom get to recuperate and be well ???????? Have an smooth moving yeah!

  8. Congratulations on getting your new place!!! That sounds absolutely awesome and I am sure after the stress has calmed a bit you will feel so relieved. 🙂
I moved from a very similar crowdy, dirty and noisy neighborhood to a quiet "boring" one last year and it felt so good. There were actually a lot of little stressors that I only noticed had been stressing me out after moving away from there. I can imagine this might happen to you, too.
Also, I am already looking forward to your upcoming moving content. 🙂

  9. I am just like you! I don't travel well, either. I'm working on becoming more flexible in my attitude and always plan ahead and carry some nuts or an energy bar in case we can't find a restaurant.

  10. I went to this place called Buggy Busters. Found some super strong coffee. Idk. Extra caffeinated Viking coffee? Rock star hangover coffee? ???????? Anyways. Made by a rock guitarist lol. It was cheap and right down my alley (I mix my fave flavor with espresso or super strong lol).

Congratulations! The housing market is crazy all over. (I’m in the US). It’s ok to call it the hood. I mean that is one of my main concerns about wanting to move from here besides faulty construction and toxic fam and toxic addicted people all around here (and all their drama). I think I’m on my way soon also. I’ve been putting it off for the same reasons tho. I dread all the stress of this big thing I’ve never done before but I’m starting to have more dread about staying here another day so there’s that. And I’m moving to a diff state. I hope to anyways. I’m so happy for you tho!! I def know the stress of living in a pretty undesirable neighborhood. This is what they call the “drug bust quota street.” If it’s not drug busts, warrants, trespassing homeless addicts, drunks, it’s potential OD ambulance drama and I def want out.

And sorry about your mom. YT vids and work/jobs are def a thing that can wait. That’s a LOT for anyone to have to deal with.

That is life tho. Not always having everything go smoothly. It’s more about surviving all those bumps that in one way or another are going to happen to all of us. To me it’s a great example of “how to ride the waves.” And good to eliminate the life noise we CAN do something about (such as moving to a better home space). And then learning what we can control and what we really have no control over and should not put our worry energy on so much.

  11. Congrats on the new place and 200k! I'm hoping to buy my own space this year, too. I was surprised at your description of your current neighborhood. Stay safe until you get gone ???? Hope you and your mom feel better soon. ????

  12. Oh my goodness what a lot you had to deal with during March. Well done you for managing, and making this video. I look forward to seeing some pictures of your new balcony when you get the chance, all the best for these coming weeks x

  13. Congratulations on your new home????. I really hope you'll take good care of yourself. The move will be draining too. We've moved over a year ago and even though I was very excited and love my new home, it drained me a lot. The move itself but also getting used to a new situation.
Maybe you could make shorter videos or film yourself while packing or post one video in two weeks.
Enjoy the journey and the decorating. ❤

  14. My big thing the past 9 months is an elderly relative reaching the point she needed to move from an apartment to a room in a 24-hour care home and me managing her bills. So I had to dispose of her furniture and car and bring two dozen file containers to my place to sort through. She'd saved every bill and brochure from the past thirty years, and she'd had to submit her medical receipts every year for a housing discount so she had all those notebooks. Luckily several volunteers helped with the furniture and household items, otherwise I'd be overwhelmed. I've been taking a kind of break from it the past three months, but now I'm in the home stretch to finally finish going through those containers.

I've long been a minimalist. Not extreme, but all my possessions fit in 2-3 pickup truck loads. So it's been an ordeal sorting through a non-minimalist's stuff, deciding what to keep. Some things she needs for use or documentation, some for nostalgia, but I have to decide what will be important in the future and what won't. She now has prefurnished room with few personal possessions, and she wants to avoid clutter accumulating there like it did in the apartment. So she says to throw away all the old photos and items I can't store, because she doesn't want my apartment filled with her clutter either.

So now taking care of my clutter and her clutter has merged into the same thing. I've pared down my files a lot but I still need to do more, and let go of some old books I haven't read, and I'm staring at a yoga mat I haven't used for years but still maybe I'll get back into it someday. So that's the phase I'm in now.

  15. I'm so glad you found another apartment! I know it's been a long time coming. Enjoy the process! 🙂 I hope your mom recovers completely. Congrats on 200K!

  16. Congratulations Vera for your new apartment and YouTube milestone ???? I hope your Mom will get better quickly.

  17. Congratulations ????
This is so exciting. I can’t wait to see new place. You made right decision for sure!

  18. When I purchased my first home it was very nerve-wracking! Signing on for a 30 year commitment- whew! At 68, I’ve moved several times as my life changed, but I’ve never felt the same anxiety as the first time. Congratulations on your first home. ????

  19. Before I even tuned in, I got excited thinking, she's excepting!! But oops, not that. It's just the 1st thing that comes to mind when someone says they have exciting news 😉 However…oftentimes that announcement does come after a couple buys a new place????hmm mmmm
