1 C red lentils, 4 C water, 1/2 medium white onion,1 tsp ginger paste,  1 green chili , 1 Tbsp oil, 1/4 tsp of each:  turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds. 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 lemon juice

Nice video … I will try it have tried mixing yellow lentils with the red daal my mom used to make it like that… Also in tadka or tempering try adding zeera , that adds a great flavor also.
