Kayak Deck & Hull get Attached Together!

The kayak finally looks like a kayak! Connecting the deck to the hull is probably the most difficult step of this build, but it’s quite important too. It’s a lot of prep work to get everything lined up and clamped down with strap clamps, packing tape, and even some CA glue in more difficult areas. Then thickened epoxy fillets are added to the entire perimeter and the bulkheads too, with fiberglass tape as extra reinforcement to tie everything together. It’s also a good way to work in your daily yoga routine yoga with all the awkward stretching.

  1. Literally just curiosity .. why not something rubber for the adhesive. Like say if you was sealing up around a shower ? 🙂 lovely work as well

  2. I put a piece of wood in a full ditch jumped on it and busted my ass when I was a kid. that's about the closest I've been to making a boat

  3. “Unsurprisingly theres more fucking sanding for me to do myself!” Lmao😂😊😂
