    I like the deck anchors to connect the posts for railings, but I can't find these anywhere…

    I make the job last a bit longer use the same waterproof tape used on the support beams and put it on the 2×8 deck supports as well.

    12" on center is much more solid. Composite deck will bend and make noises as you walk across.
