  1. I love a little bit of white wine and or lemon juice in my clam sauce, too. I’m sure you already know this, but your voice is so soothing.

  2. I used to make a killer linguine with clam sauce when I was single. My wife of 35 years doeesn't like mollusks, so it's been that long since I last made it.

    maybe I'll make it for myself. She can have a salad! hahahaha.

  6. My local closeout grocery has tons of giant 2qt commercial sized cans of clams in juice. Although I have to double filter out the sand, they’re a bargain at $5 each. Last time I made clam chowder with potatoes. Thank you for this recipe! I’m eating like a Queen.

  7. For those of you who heard "liquor" and got confused, clam "liquor" (aka "extract") is not alcohol but rather the liquid that is extracted during the initial opening of the clam. If you let that evaporate (concentrate) it becomes clam "nectar". If you steam the clams and then strain that liquid into a bottle, it becomes clam "juice".

My favorite…and you're right not many places make this easy dish…had it at an Italian restaurant everyone in town raves about…nope it was just ok and they put whole clams in…I really and truly hate touching my food that way having to use my fork to take the clams out then you've got one more bowl in the already crowded table with empty shells…that really annoyed me! Lol oh well won't go back there again…this meal is so simple lots of garlic is the key. Mmmm
