Making Popcorn On The Jobsite

We just made an entire palette of popcorn right here on the jobsite.
First, we heated up the bucket on the excavator with two propane torches.
Once it was good and hot we added a layer of coconut oil which is really good for making popcorn.
Then we threw in a full hard hat of kernels.
I had no idea if this would work, and I didn’t want it to burn.
I kept shaking the bucket so the popcorn would heat evenly.
Before long it was popping like crazy.
And I know what you’re thinking- Yes, we cleaned the bucket. I actually took it to the car wash and sprayed it down; then we wiped it out with bleach water.
I couldn’t believe how well this worked. We made two batches in all- Enough to fill four 5-gallon buckets.
Any operator can dig a foundation, but it takes a real man to spread popcorn.
Next, I filled a pump sprayer with liquid butter- this worked awesome. You can’t have too much butter in my opinion.
And what good is butter without salt? Lots of salt! I put it down with a grass seed spreader.
Finally, it was time to eat. This popcorn tasted absolutely amazing.
Let us know in the comments what should we cook next on the jobsite? @hausplans

  2. Why stop at popcorn? How about a batch of carmel corn? Or, candied nuts [pecans]? Let's gooo!
