Maasi Karuvadu Thokku Recipe:-
🔹 INGREDIENTS:
200g – Masi Dry fish (¾ crushed using ammikallu)
1 cup – Coconut crumbs
2 tbsp – Gingelly oil (for roasting)
250g – Onion (chopped)
200g – Tomato (chopped)
15g – Green chilli (slit)
1½ tbsp – Ginger garlic paste
30g – Roasted coconut powder (optional, for extra thickness)
2 tsp – Chilli powder
1½ tsp – Coriander powder
½ tsp – Turmeric powder
½ tsp – Pepper powder
1 tsp – Salt (to taste)
½ tsp – Fennel seeds
2 – Cloves
1 – Cinnamon stick
Few – Curry leaves
4 tbsp – Oil (cooking)
1½ cups – Water


🔹 Instructions:

1. Add crushed masikaruvadu + coconut crumbs in 2 tbsp gingelly oil, roast till golden, and keep aside.

2. Heat Gingelly Oil, add fennel, cloves, cinnamon, and curry leaves.

3. Add onions, sauté till golden brown.

4. Add ginger garlic paste, sauté till the raw smell leaves.

5. Add spice powders + salt and mix well.

6. Add tomatoes, cook till soft.

7. Add roasted karuvadu-coconut mix, stir 2 mins.

8. Add ½ cup water, cook covered 5–7 mins on low.

9. Oil separates, semi-gravy ready.

10. Serve hot with rice.
