  1. when I lost my first guy dog and I found out he was going to die I actually screamed and collapsed into the arms of the bed onto the floor and cried it was the worst thing that it ever happened to me and I had previously lost both my parents within two years and I didn’t react that way. I felt as if somebody had ripped my heart out and stomped on it. The only thing that slightly pulled me out of that with the fact that I had gotten a second guy died when my first one had retired and I was lucky he was there because I was truly alone at that point I have lost pets before but it was nothing like losing my guide dog. My first dog was literally my light that pulled me out of the darkness and the fear of losing my vision .
