Chef told me to cut a spot off the skin when boiling so the salt can penetrate. Does this seem reasonable or just wishful thinking? I've honestly never tried to do it without cutting a spot off the skin.

Some sites take more than others I have learned since I’ve been buying a Lot of YouTuber cookbooks so I always like to ask.
