Musty Laundry & How To Fix It! #laundry

Ever smelled that musty “wet dog” funk on clothes left too long in the washer?

That’s mold and bacteria growing — and they release VOCs (volatile organic compounds) that your nose picks up as that awful smell.

Here are two ways to fight back:
– Downy Rinse or Tide Boost: help prevent musty smells for up to 24 hours
– Laundry Sanitizers: kill bacteria and viruses

Detergent alone can’t do that — these go in your rinse or softener slot.

Your nose (and clothes) will thank you!

Vinegar works in a pinch! Although I prefer the citric acid rinses (glad to not make my own anymore)

Nah I’d rather not support Isnotreal but the ideas were great. Also anything they invest in turns up being bad for you in the long run

I use the downy rinse and left the clothes in for an hour and it was so bad 😭

For the sanitizer, is the idea to use it regularly when you wash as a preventative method or is it supposed to be used retroactively when you've messed up and you then soak them in water + sanitizer

I followed your advice about laundry rinses and the worked beautifully. I use unscented products and a communal washing machine. My laundry needs more than plain washing. Thank you!

Quick question: can both sanitiser and rinse boost be used at the same time?

  7. @happy_bubble7

I found that if I just dry them and wash them again, they're totally fine. I dont really have this issue using Persil, now.

why are you promoting these expensive products when you can just use white vinegar ?

OMG my mom is constantly doing this. You need to add Laundry God to your resume!

My clothes smell like that when there is a serial killer hanging around—can’t wash the souls off, they’re gonna cling to anyone who’ll listen.

SO! I'm in Brazil and I don't have either. Any country crossing solutions, my dear?😊
