  1. It seems I upset some people with my previous comments on Grand Seiko's bracelets being bad. Who do you think makes the best bracelets?

  4. Like lots I have a fondness for Seiko but the bracelets put me off. Sleeve & pin or screw link, you didn't say? Im sure Ive seen some GS with screw links on there site. There doesn't seem to be a perfect watch that's why my Tudor Peel-i-goose gets worn so much, price design and a decent bracelet.

  6. The diver is a beautiful watch, but for $10K, I'm going Rolex. The non-milled, watch clasp is a real deal breaker.

  7. Checked out Grand Seiko when I first got into watches. I was always impressed by their design and movements, and always VERY disappointed in their straps and especially their bracelets. They are… rubbish, and at these prices, unacceptable.

  8. Same problem here, Adrian. I know these watches are really darn good, i just struggle to find one that connects with me. Must be my underdeveloped taste. ????

  9. I feel like I want to admire GS in a bell jar, but have no interest in wearing them on my wrist. They lack that imperfect perfection that the Swiss houses get so right – for divers, see Blancpain. History and purpose beautifully intertwined.

  10. 3:52 Yes we do. Look at the submariner. Also a proper dive watch and it is only 12mm thick.. AND it's 300m WR versus 200m on this thicker GS.

  12. My 9RA2 spring drive was +/- 0 seconds between November 2022 and March 2023 (daylight savings start and end).

  13. I'm in the market for a luxury diver right now and after buying the sbga415 a couple of years ago I'm looking at GS but their sports models are large. What's wrong with a 40mm diver?

  15. I agree, the bracelet is pretty horrid for such a high end piece. I get that they spend a lot of their budget on the case, dial and movement, but I wonder if they would increase sales & brand or prestige by making a better bracelet/clasp system & charging like 500 more.
