  1. Thank you for taking us along! This s so exciting, cant wait to see more progress!!!

  2. Thanks for sharing! Wow I’m sure I would forget some of the little things you mentioned. It’s going to be awesome ????

  3. Down to the studs and brought back fresh, love it! Lots of built-ins! You've got a happy cabinet builder somewhere! ???? My grandmother had an amazing linen cabinet built in her house at the top of the stairs and I always admired it. Def on top of my next house wish list! They don't make the newer houses with enough of them!

  4. Caleb I can not wait to see the final remodel.. I just love your home it is an antique Gem…

  5. Your upstairs will be fantastic when it is done. You have put so much thought into how the space should be used and storage in the areas too.

  6. Kaleb, how wonderful for you to design your own space during the renovation process. I'm so happy for you and I'm excited to see the next update on your upstairs! Adding more lighting, windows, and storage space is definitely needed in a 100-plus-year-old home. My home was built in 1900 (approximately) and the electrical access, storage, insulation, and so much more needed to be done… unfortunately, some things could not be finished the way I would have preferred because of budget limitations. Blessings to you and Kip and all of your loved ones, have a great week. ~Margie????????????

  7. LOOOOOVVEE!!!! Omgoodness!!!! Your attention to lighting!!!! But the picture light over window… Perfection!!!! ????

  8. Good Morning Wyse, I'm so excited and happy for you. This is going to be so beautiful. Blessings my friend!!????????

  9. I’m so excited for you! I agree, good lighting can make a space so much cozier and more functional. I can’t wait to see your finishes. Thanks for taking us along with you. ????

  10. Thank you so much for sharing the renovation process of your home. I love new home building and renovations. They are big treats for me. Have a great day!

  11. Thank you for the tour. It all looks great. The only thing I would tell you to re-think is the niche in the bathroom shower. I have a four product soap dispenser. They come in two and three also. I have noticed that in hotels they now use them instead of small products. I have had one in my bathrooms in the last two homes I have owned. I would worry about mould forming in the niche and I also hate all the bottles.

  12. I’m with you, I am so big on lighting! Natural light and lamp light. I love my home, but it is a dark house in certain rooms. I could easily live in an almost glass house. Anything to bring the outdoors in. Plants and lots and lots of LIGHT! ????????????????????????

  13. lovee!! this is awesome on so many levels. I am super curious how much it costs to add a window where there wasn't a window…I have several rooms in my house I would love to do this.

  14. Great video! Sometime could you show the farm at the different seasons? Most of us don't know all work that goes into our food.

  15. Thank you so much for bringing us along! I was wondering if you could use a glass railing to open up the space even more? I know it might make it look modern but maybe they have accents that could look more traditional. I'm thinking of the railing part of it being the color of your light fixtures above your sink in the kitchen. It's going to be beautiful!!❤

  16. This is so exciting! It’s at the stage where all the inner workings are coming together. I love that you are adding built-ins and storage wherever possible! I hope you are adding fabulously tall baseboards like are downstairs. It looks like the venting was moved up enough to accommodate gorgeously substantial baseboards! Are you planning amazing crown molding as well? I adore all the architectural details reminiscent of craftsmanship that was commonplace in past centuries!

I’ve never heard of putting art lights above windows before. Sounds interesting and I’m anxious to see how that will create a different ambiance! I agree with you 100% that lighting can make a space! Having layered options to create whatever mood or provide for whatever task is so important! So, sooo excited for you and all the progress so far! ????????????

  17. I’ve been waiting for an update-this is pretty exciting! Looking forward to the next update-thanks for sharing. I’m sure you are thrilled????
