NEVER TOO SMALL: Flexible Japanese Inspired Apartment, Thailand 33sqm/355sqft

Inspired by the calm and peaceful atmosphere of traditional Japanese Ryokans, this central Bangkok apartment has been transformed into a flexible city escape by interior designer Mae Prachasilcha. The main living area seamlessly integrates a study corner, a convertible coffee table/dining table, and a custom-designed 3-seater modular sofa that can be cleverly separated with very strategically incorporated sliding Japanese shoji doors. Divided from the living area by these doors, a wooden box-like platform with four tatami mats serves as a second living room or a cosy tea room during the day and effortlessly transitions into a sleeping area at night. The area can be closed off by using the sliding panels, offering privacy and keeping the room cool at night. This multifunctional approach adds softness and functionality to the space while still allowing light to filter throughout the home.

  1. Wow, amazing apartment design with everything you need to live comfortable. Great job.

  2. 33sqm ??? I looked at the video without paying attention to the title and assumed we were around 40/45sqm ! Very impressive !

  3. The design is very lovable! One thing that I don't understand: the kitchen stays original due to strict budget… but they can afford Samsung The Frame TV? ????

  4. Absolutely love this place. This is such a clever use of the small space that makes it multi functional. Well done!!!

  5. First Thailand-related content I've ever watched on this channel! (Yes, it's my country)

The design is nice. I can feel Japanese vibe like tatami and futon.

Hope NTS will cover more condominium of size 23-35 sq.m. without deplex mezzanine floor, because it is more practical here in Thailand especially Bangkok.

  6. Great use of space! Love the sliding doors and the whole vibe of the house. It's so cosy and comfortable.

  7. I wish there would be a voiceover in better english. With english Not as my native language it is really difficult to understand anything and the subtitels disturb the beautyfull Pictures of the Interieur.

  8. ในที่สุดก็ได้เห็นผลงานคนไทยในช่องนี้แล้ว ติดตามมานาน ยินดีด้วยฮะ ????

  9. That is such a beautiful, luxurious and calming small home I have ever seen. Just a fantastic design and all in 355 sq ft . That would be a wonderful place to call home . ❤
