Home to renter and architect Enrico Cavaglia, this airy, plant filled 28 square metre apartment set in a quiet suburb of Buenos Aires is a stunning example of improving a rental with minimal impact. Wanting to maximise light and ventilation, he chose this l-shaped apartment based on the two balconies positioned on the opposing sides of the home. Starting with an open plan space encompassing living, bedroom and kitchen, Enrico divided the living space from the bedroom with a handmade floor to ceiling bookshelf supported by tension rods. Fitting a custom made platform bed in the new space behind it that also includes copious amounts of storage hidden underneath and incorporated into the bookshelf itself. All handmade by Enrico. With small, but personal, touches throughout like a green wall, and a simple natural palette, Enrico’s apartment shows what’s possible in an adaptable rental when flexibility is at the forefront.

  2. Great job!
The bedroom area and all the d.i.y furnitures : this is brilliant ????????
The initial construction of the building : the apartments with natural ventilation from one side of the apartment to the other side. So it seems to be a 70's building (maybe 80's) and it was yet sustainabal

  3. Your Buenos Aires videos are making me want to renounce my citizenship. Holy hell is it beautiful over there. Can’t wait to see it in person in the fall.

  4. 3 Things I love about this apartment:

    1. The plants

    2. The rooftop terrace

    3. The cats ????

  5. Are the tension rods used for the bookcase available to public or Did Enrico have his custom made?

  6. This might be my new favourite showcase. Each balcony/patio had my jaw on the floor.

  7. Stunningly beautiful apartment, appears much more spacious due to the cleverly designed furniture and Scandinavian color palette. So lucky to have so much outdoor space????????????

  8. Very nice for such a small space. The solution for the bed is lovely. The balconies, especially the living room blanco you, make a huge difference in the space. Without them, I think the space would feel much more constrained.

  9. Love it. Uncomplicated, functional, light, bright, great outside spaces. Nicely done.

  10. I would love to have that monstera! ????I like how his decor are plastic animals his nephew gave him and a painting his friend made to pay for a trip ????

  11. Quel bel appartement bien aménagé !
Mes amitiés du sud-ouest de la France ????????????

  12. Great apartment for sure, small inside, but with a balcony, a terrace and a patio! Amazing!

  13. It's a wonderful place BUT it's way more than 28 sqm! If you look at the ground floor and take the bed as reference that's about the area of the indoor part. But you can't just not count the 2 balconies that add about the same area.
