Wing Heung Noodle Co. is one of the last noodle factories in New York City’s Chinatown. For more than 50 years, Wing Heung has been churning out fresh wheat noodles, dumpling wrappers and spring roll skins using machines dating back to the 1920s.
Meet Kenny Kong. Fifteen years ago, after working in restaurants, hotels and banking, he began helping out in the factory where his father is a co-owner. Now, at 54, Kenny manages his father’s business, producing 2,000 pounds of noodles daily. But he’s facing a crucial turning point: The owners plan to sell the property. Who will carry on the legacy? And will they find a buyer to continue the tradition?

Time to start training people now so Kenny is not the only one that knows how to work, troubleshoot, and fix everything 🥺
Looks great
After watching this video, i would like to offer you my daughter for marriage so that you can have children with her who will take over your business so that you can retire.
I hope they're protecting themselves from flour lung! There's quite a lot of dust in that room.
People underestemate how dangerous flour is for the lungs… i would never work in a flour enviroment. But respect to the workers there
An old man from north Georgia loves what you do. I only wish you the very best of health and prosperity.
Yooo it’s Eric haha
My dad used to own a chinese takeout place in long island. those wraps were what made our dumplings and wontons so tasty.
I do hope someone takes the tradition.
Best of luck to Kenny and the business!! Beautiful story
I would 100% train under him
Wish they wore proper masks..breathing in flour all day is horrible for you long term.
The amount of dedication and passion outstands me. Love that and the product
I love noodles 😋
I’d love to have some of those noodles.
its sad … the younger generation wasn't want to get into these kind of trade anymore, hope it can continue the family business.
I hope Kenny finds the perfect buyer to take over his business in enough time that they can learn all he has to offer and keep the noodle business alive for the next generation!
Great to see humble noodle mass production. And not just an attachment to a mixer.
👏🏼😍👍🏼🍜
So fascinating. Love learning how things are made. Family businesses are special yet difficult to carry on to next generations. Wishing you luck!!
