i live in brazil and this a very delicious new year party dish (at least in my family it's almost a tradition). it's also pretty common in buffets. I love it, specially paired with fresh falafels ππ
I love mujadarah, Is the few lentill dishes that like me, usually I don't like the lentills flavor or I find it very difficult to season them.
Wow looks delicious I would add chicken and lamb to this to make it even better
I make it differently but this way looks more yummy, I'll try it for our ramadan dinner today β€

I want that book so bad but I can't get it here π
Oh I love that! The hardes part is the onion. But its so good and simple. I make a spicy tomato sauce to put on it
I love mujaddara, I eat it with a genrous squeeze of lemon and some greek yoghurt mixed with minced mint. π Of course, I am not vegan… but the yoghurt is a great pairing.
Wait who is julius Fiedler?
We call it Γ dΓ s polo (rice + lentil) in Iran. In the Iranian version you can add briefly cooked raisins + (cooked minced meat) on top! Yummy π
Looks wunderbar! π Grains and legumes are a super healthy and delicious combination π Thank you, Hermann!
I can smell it from here. Looks delicious. π
I'm sure if you gave an aincent levantine peasant a ribeye or a leg of lamb they'd kiss your feet after a lifetime of lentils but yeah this is nourishing and delicious too
I need to try this! That looks awesome!
My grandmother was Lebanese π I miss her cooking so much
Reminds me of koshari, which I love, but without the tomato sauce. I'll be trying this soon π
So much love from Lebanon. You made this perfectly!
The only thing missing is tahini ! All over everything

Looks delicious π
Growing up my pops made it with wetter lentils, closer to a stew. But yours looks better. Careful not to give out all of our secrets π
It's called Mdardara. MJADARA IS LIKE A PUREE WITH SMALLER AMOUNT OF RICE.
