A lot of people call it shepherds pie in the USA too. U can never go wrong with ketchup, and maybe a side of cottage cheese

  2. @ColleenBean-z3h

From the midwest we call it snow on a mountain and we use green beans not corn. We also add cheese. Corn is not a vegetable its a grain. We love your version and our own.

we also call it shepherds pie in Middle US, made with beef or lamb. Definitely add peas though, never ketchup.

Man, I love this channel to bits but that is one sad version of cottage pie.

Here in canada i cannot tell you how much i dislike when people say “shepherds pie has lamb?” Like DUH! Its a shepherds pie! Take your disgusting cottage pie home and dont even think about making a poulters pie because i will throw it away.

What oil do you use to cook? There's a huge debate going on in my family on what oil is the healthiest to use. Apparently olive and avo are bad for you😅

I add a gravy pack into the ground beef mixture and I add cheese to the top!!! I love shepherds pie!

If the truth be known Pâté chinois is probably a slight on a popular English Irish dish since the name came about in Quebec around the 1930's.

    Is it tasty hell yea
Is it traditional? Not one bit

The OG has peas carrots and lots of cheese

I like to add some herbs to the beef when it is almost done, you can basically just do an Italian mix. Adds another dimension of flavor, some garlic can be nice too.

As an English person I find this offensive. We do t have many great dishes but shepherds pie is one of them. This is NOT Shepard’s pie. Not even close to it

I see why you guys don't put the peas n carrot in Montreal cos you gotta keep it Chinese 😮😂😂😂😂😂
