every time i get to the invert part it inverts everything else besides the teeth (like the surrounding)… how do i get it to invert just the teeth?

when i select the brush tool set the hardness and opacity it still doesnt select the area i want it to not sure why im having such a hardtime it looks very easy, is there another tool that i can use for the selection such as quick selection tool perhaps ?
