my heart dropped when he said tungsten.. does it not accept any other blade?
Both are useful, or misused and aggrevating
There are some things that actually did help the average person by upgrading to mechanical electric powered option. The refrigerator is a good example. However there are way more examples of it actually just making things worse. This being one of them.
It's funny when selling tools and I come across anything stanley. I'll know right away if it's going to command a high price or be trash. It's the perfect representation of what capitalism does to any brand or product. Corporations try to squeeze every bit of profit out of a product and over a few decades slowly decrease quality to increase margins. Or if the brand is bought by private equity. It only takes a couple years. Private equity is one of the absolute worst parts of any country. They destroy old respected companies, decrease pay for everyone who works for said company. Minimize safety standards. Use substandard materials for whatever they are making, increase prices for a new terrible product and within a few years no one buys from the company, causing it to go bankrupt. Allowing the private equity firm to fire everyone and then sell off all of the companies assets. Private equity is terrible for any economy. The US allows all of this without any repercussions. And Trump is making all of this even easier. Ok, done with my rant lol.
The hand plane is so much neater.
Both in looks and the amout of mess it makes.
Old makita planers sound so good
I am 20 years old and have terrible tinnitus, mainly from being around loud tools and machinery as a kid. Please, ear protectiong my friend. Sleeping with a fan will not make you a favorite amongst the ladies (ask my girlfriend, she freezes when I have to run mine to dull the ringing in my ears.)
You ever see that video of woodworkers in Japan competing to cut the thinnest slice of wood? Amazing how thin they can get it with their planers
Did someone fhammer lunch their initials into that wood? What is DT?
What do you say on your sign off? Asking for a friend
