I would enjoy revisiting these roses annually to establish a mental growth record. Great video.
Thanks for sharing.
thank you! will look beautiful
Having some weird occurrences happen where I live. Plants and pots are moved around, and I keep finding cigarette butts that weren't there previously, as I'm not a smoker, and wouldn't leave the refuse laying wherever.
Looks like a have a nocturnal garden helper… ???? Gonna set up cameras, but I'm always afraid of what I will find. I am near where Mothman was seen, maybe it's just him having a rough few days? Lol
I live in Northern Virginia near the Potomac and it is SUPER muggy in the summer. I just took out all my roses because I was tired of having to constantly fight mildew. ????. I extra enjoy being able to see them in other people’s landscapes now.
Nice job! Love your choices! Wish New England had your dry climate! Is it Bi a tone fertilizer for all plants its or just for Rose's? Thank you!
You, Aaron, and Paul can pull out any plant you want in my book! Love the new shoes, too! I didn't know you could customize so many brands. Can you share the source?
As I watched you plant the first bed, I had to chuckle because if I didn’t know how incredibly hard you work, I would have thought you are a lazy gardener. You toss a handful of starter fertilizer into an auged hole, then toss the plants toward the hole❤️. That’s actually called ‘conservation of energy’! Great job as always and thanks for reminding all of that things don’t have to be done laboriously to be successful.
Lol, well here I thot Aaron would be digging the holes, lol. Nope, it’s ‘Awesome Laura’!!!
Hello, can roses grow in grown that has some clay?
Happy EASTER
I can't wait to see everything in bloom!
Hello Laura, love your videos, have been watching you for more than 4 years now!would love to see a formal rose garden close to the Hartley, what do you think?
Hey Laura, that's so nice that you do the landscaping projects at the college. I love watching what you do there. Question: You mentioned you're going to top dress/mulch your wood chipped garden area with compost. How do you keep weeds from growing in the mulch? Is it because your climate is so dry? I live in western NC foothills (zone 7A) and have heavy clay soil. I would love to mulch with compost but am worried about weeds growing in it. Thanks. PS We also have those awful invasive earth worms that wriggle really fast. Yuck! Any new research on those?
Your energy amazes me. I can't wait to see these roses in bloom.
How long typically for bare root roses to reach maturity?
I wish I had a friend like you to come and surprise me with a whole bunch of roses or something else (shrubs evergreens. It's going to be beautiful ❤????
That tip about not having to deal with air pockets by planting the way you do is really important. I had to replant a climbing rose 3 TIMES because the first 2 times, folks left air pockets and the roses died. (That's what happens when you let other people do it for you….boohoo!)
All those red roses down at the college is so to be so beautiful, and your little pinks are so pretty. Can't wait to see them when they start getting leaves and buds on them. ❤❤
Where did Aaron go?
Will the bare root roses bloom this year?
Oh, I can’t wait to see those roses in bloom! I just figured out you are the gardener in the neighborhood, like on Sesame Street! It gave me that vibe watching the students walk by as you were working. Can’t wait to see all the color.
WOW! that is going to be such a stunning display, cannot wait to see that!! and the pollinators will be so happy!!! the drift in your south garden will be equally as beautiful… you are a planting machine, i tell ya… amazing!!! i'm in the market for a new rose (i need more planting space! arrggh, haha).. it needs to go in a pot, so size is important.. a video on roses and those that grow best in pots, small areas, etc would be beneficial if you need any more ideas.. ☺☺☺ zone 10 here… ????❤thanks for the video!! ????❤
It must feel glorious planting all of those beautiful roses! OH I can't wait to see them later! What a beautiful view and smell that will be! Love spring! Thank you and God Bless!
No Land and Sea compost? Are you not using anymore? Did I miss something?
I live in northern MN and we are still under almost 2' of snow, this video gets me so excited to even see my garden!! The roses looks very healthy, great plants! Thanks for sharing the joy of spring planting with us today.
I don't get where Laura's hour bucket dipping of bare root roses comes from…most specialist suppliers like Austin and Trevor White in the UK say it's fine to let them rehydrate properly overnight. So Laura could have left them in the root cellar in the bucket being dark they wouldn't try to push leaves.
Also hope there's enough space for maintenance in the bed as a seamless hedge of roses isn't much fun to try to get into.
Tell that gentleman he pulled that Barberry out wrong ????????????
