  1. Keep an eye out for earwigs and little snails with the ajuga. We had a bed of it in full sun in zone 8b (central Tx) and the snails and earwigs loved it. It made for a very hospitable home for them. Also, we have heavy deer pressure and they eat all the things that are deer resistant (munched my Pugster down to sticks-nepeta and salvia too) and they don’t touch the Ajuga at all!

  2. Morning Laura,
I put my 2 yrs old daughter to nap every day playing your videos. She says “Garden Answer and Laura “ Not sure if it’s your soothing voice or Aaron’s music but it works. We learn so much from you, so thank you. Our garden sure got lots of influences from you guys 🙂

  3. What a lot going on today. First of all Laura. Your garden is beautiful in so much blooming going on. And your new path way is just lovely. And pretty with the plants near by. What you planted today just beautiful. You got some really beautiful trees and it's filling up just nicely now with trees to.. Just so inspiring.

  4. I planted some ajuga as well this year, first time, I know nothing about it. I know it’s a spreading groundcover which means it’s going to take over but I don’t want too much… can anybody give some advice? Is it a thug? Is it hard to pull up if it spreads too much? Will I regret planting it? I put it in a bit of a dry shady spot so hopefully it won’t conquer my garden.

  5. That is the smallest container I have ever seen on a tree that large. Good God that must be one tiny rootball.

  6. Some Grey foliage dichondria would be nice in-between the flag stones….or to the side.
Those broken budlheia stems could be popped in some damp soil and you could grow 3 new shrubs, especially at this time of year.
Also dolomite will help with your hard soil…
    Looking fantastic!

  7. Greetings, Laura, from Windermere Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸 ❤️🤍💙
    Beautiful selection of trees 🌳
    Your grass looks luxurious
    Happy Gardening Everyone 👩‍🌾 👍

  8. Thank you 😊 so much for our learning experience you give us all! Garden answer, helpful to my journey on my garden . Started last year 2021 and my life back! Thankyou both!

  9. I only have orange lilies. I like red lilies. I have one birch. I want more birch.

  10. Love the plants. Great job. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

  11. What about some creeping thyme between the pathway stones? The little flowers, and the scent…

  12. Can you please share the name of that day lily? I planted tje exact same kind at my parents house and several years ago and cannot remember where I even bought it. I have to say it has really become a glorious plant and a superstar in it's spot. We are zone 5. Thanks

  13. I’m astonished you don’t wear hats & sunscreen in the heat. I live in Australia & the likelihood of skin cancer is drilled into us here. I’d be burned in no time in that heat.

  14. Those birch trees looked like they were singing and dancing when they found freedom out of the pots. I love them, just stunning

  15. Good Morning! 😃 The flagstone pathway is looking good! I do like Birch trees!! I enjoy watching the planting process! 😃🌳🌳🌲💚

  16. Good morning Laura! Curios how’s your shinseiki pear espalier tree doing this year? I’ve been following for quite awhile, I know you mentioned moving it to the south garden and I don’t think you showed it on your previous garden tour. 🤔

  17. Good Morning! Do you ever have issues with flies on your Euonymus? I have a beautiful hedge of Euonymus in front of my porch which I love for most of the year but every July they are covered with flies. Any suggestions with controlling the flies on this plant. This year I have cut back the blooms, cleaned up the debris and sprayed neem oil which seems to have helped. Thank you so much for sharing your life and garden with us ❤️ watching your show is my favorite morning activity! I love your positivity and consistency. Such a sweet family!!!

  18. Was that European Birch a weeping variety? It looked to be so on the tag you showed. I'm a total Birch noob. I only know the white barked ones and I love those. One of my customers has a huge one growing in his front yard that I totally drool over each time I pull in. I wonder how long it takes to get that big (probably 40' high and 20' spread). Quite the "statement" tree!

  19. I love what you did with the euonymus! I have a lot of these in my landscape from the previous owner. They are trimmed into balls. One of them is an almost five foot ball!🤦🏾‍♀️ Here they are BRIGHT yellow. I love them, but maybe not so many that are so huge right in front of the house. I liked the relaxed pace of this video and the music too!💗 It’s amazing to me all you’ve been able to accomplish on the new property. I keep thinking about your mom’s lovely, mature garden and imagining what yours will look like. Such a piece of paradise!

  20. At minute 4:32 there is a shadow of a huge bird passing over you. That might be what landed on and broke the butterfly bush. Do you have small animals hunted by birds of prey?
