I use a pill container. It helps me to assure that I took my pills how it should be. I'm so careful with it because I want it to last forever, so I don't need another one ❤
I'm more on the plastic free band wagon than zero waste. So much of this plastic messes with us on a hormonal level, and so this is far more important to me to get rid of completely from the home
Plastic containers can be used non-food storage or organization
Using citrus in a plastic container WILL cause chemicals to leach. It's acidic
I still use a plastic folk I got from a restaurant.
This is a long shot, but I want to ask anyway…
Is there a place that recycles or better disposes of medical “waste”? This is not sharps or anything that’s been considered biohazardous. For my health, I average 2 IV fluid infusions, 2-3 IV anti-nausea doses, and many, many prefilled saline syringes. I feel bad having so much plastic waste, but I know it’s the only way to safely avoid sepsis or other serious issues if items aren’t sterile. My local recycling center doesn’t accept the plastic syringes or the empty IV bags. There are recycling logos on these items, i just have no clue where to recycle them at. My local recycling company, which most people have in the US I think, barely accepts paper and bottles. Any help would be great!
Eat the plastic
There's a limit to keeping what you have. We had Tupperware from the 80's that had such a strong offgassing smell and had all the banned ingredients I didn't think they were safe enough to be around food or even outside of the kitchen for hair or crafts things. I got my mom to let them go and now we've been saving glass food packaging instead for new containers.
Then your not a zero waster… Lol maybe a 30% waster
I'm surprised that Tupperware and other food storage manufacturers haven't come up with a better option.
Just don't microwave or heat the plastic you already have
