Po’Boy ???? #shorts

Po’Boy

Ingredients

– Sub rolls
– Iceberg lettuce, finely sliced
– Tomatoes, sliced
– Po’ Boy sauce
– Fried shrimp or prawns

Method

1. Slice the sub and add the sauce to both sides
2. Next add the lettuce, tomato and the fried prawns/shrimp
3. Enjoy!

Ingredients Po’ Boy sauce

– 3 tbsp mayonnaise
– 1 tsp horseradish
– 1 tbsp pickle juice
– 1 tsp hot sauce
– 1 tsp mustard

Ingredients fried shrimp/prawns

– Peeled and deveined prawns or shrimp (3-4 per sandwich)
– 1 cup cornmeal
– 2 eggs, beaten
– 1 tbsp milk
– 2 tbsp old bay seasoning
– Salt to taste
– Oil to fy

Method

1. Mix the cornmeal, old bay, and some salt and place the prawns/shrimp into the mix and cover well
2. Mix together the milk and eggs and add your prawns/shrimp into it, and then again into the cornmeal mix.
3. Fry at 170c for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

    Try using flour. Not cornmeal. Dry flour batter then Wet batter (flour and water till a semi thin soup is made. Seasoned of course) then back into flour. Try that out. Its amazing

    Nice! My family is from Louisiana and this is pretty much … spot on. Not every shrimp poboy has remoulade sauce on it(it's usually just mayo), but honestly it's how I prefer them.

    Do crawfish étoufée next!!
