  1. I am a boy but I don't put stuff in my pockets because I trust my hands more and most pockets are super shallow, have holes in them or are just sewed shut ro look good for style 😅

  2. i can hold 3 waterbottles in my hand and can hold ~2-3 more by squishing them between my arm and chest so i can confirm not having pockets has a impact on women

  3. I really don't like putting something into my pockets cuz then it looks weird :/

  4. your videos literally help me learn about fashion history because my little brain can't keep attention for too long😭

  5. This is super funny and you clearly have a talent for communicating history in a way that’s engaging and enjoyable! However, this narrative, although pervasive on the internet, is framed inaccurately and, in my opinion, dose a disservice to women’s histories. Check out the book The Pocket A Hidden History of Women’s Lives by Barbra Birman and Ariana Fennetaux. It’s a great overview of the importance of pockets as a means of expression, connection and agency among women. Women’s pockets of the past are also just incredible works of art. It’s very common for the mainstream historical narrative about women to basically be derived from misogynistic ideas of the past that downgrade anything produced in women’s spaces. These narratives then get slotted into our modern understanding and cultural ideas. In doing that, however, we have lost the true story of how women found ways to take back agency, express themself and create beauty 💕

  6. Im so sick of the "pockets are a feminsit issue" cause no women had very deep pockets especially uperclass eomen who could aford skirt structures but when the silhouette got tighter the pockets disappeared and the purse industry boomed cause of it. Brains people i beg you to use them

  7. I KNEW IT! THE PANTS INDUSTRY IS WORKING WITH THE PURSE INDUSTRY SO THAT WHEN WOMEN INEVITABLY BUY MORE PURSES TO HOLD OBJECTS (PURSES BEING EXPENSIVE AND ALL), THAT MEANS THEYLL SPLIT THE MONEY WITH THE PANTS PPL WHICH MEANS MORE PROFIT

  8. As a trans dude who grew up with pocketless everything, I impress my cis guy friends with the hold 3000 items at once trick :/ and once they hear the reasons behind the lack, leaves em either speechless or "damn".
handbag industry can burn, respect to all women dealing with this shi

  9. With the holding multiple objects thing I am usually told to get all the groceries from the car because I can carry it all in like one arm 😂

  10. FTM trans guy here who comes from a "practical is more important than aesthetics" family: Just buy from the men's section. Oftentimes, clothing there's a lot more breathable and comfortable. Don't let anyone tell you that you're "man-ish" for doing so, and if it persist, so what?! Fine, then! I'm a guy now, I'm gonna manspread everytime you sit close to me and talk very loudly. Best part? You're a guy now. Insults like "unladylike" don't work. You're basically saying that I'm manly.

  11. Yeah, and also so men can steal your purses and so you need a man. The Patriarchy is sh*t.

  12. Just discovered you, long story short I'm subscribed and locked in to watch hours more 😅

  13. Can you make a video on the steampunk aesthetic? Idk if anyoen rly dressed like that irl but it looks peak for character design so i wanna see it on a real person

  14. I have these cargo pants that I love (they were made for women). I can for an entire XL t-shirt in one of the pockets. There are two big pockets that I can fit everything in and two smaller pockets that still fit a lot. I also have multiple pj sets with pockets

  15. as a 12 yr old guy, i had a pocket in of my pants that could perfectly fit a nintendo switch 🤣
