Perhaps consider using textured paint on the lantern.
I would have thought you could have achieved a smooth finish on the lantern by sanding down the paint – either with an electrical sander or rubbing it manually. Once smooth, re paint. Looks like there’s been some sort of chemical reaction going on.

I love your dupes. If you have never used the sealer before over the high heat it might have been a reaction. I think I would sand it down and see how that looked then maybe spray paint it again. It is a beautiful lantern. I enjoy your channel so much.
Why are those leaves so expensive? Grab a few leaf branches for free outside.

I so look forward to your videos. I am a thrift-er and see so many dupe things. I am living with my parents now, so I really don't have space for my dupe finds. But I sure love to find things, and think this would be so perfect…..
