He then goes on to show how to use a second instance of the Fast Color Corrector in conjunction with the vectorscope to change the hue of the shot so that the final color is more real-life.

Good question. Effects are calculated one after the other so it is a cumulative efffect. If I need to make a lot of changes I like to work with separate FFC or Three-way CC so that I can turn on and off each change to see what effect it is having in the list. Basically using more versions give you more control
