1. As a designer I can tell you, it’s literally just a design choice. Everything doesn’t have to have a use or a meaning. It’s a very cool touch to the usual ruled paper.

5. The paper clip is to indicate that you can peel off sheets like they are held together by a paper clip…like a bunch of papers. Otherwise the person using it for the first time may think it's just a notebook. I don't know if it's a fact. This is just what I think it is.
