She Started With Only $3000 And Built This Incredible Tiny House!

In this weeks episode we meet an inspiring young woman who started with only $3000 and built an incredible tiny house for herself. You never know what you can accomplish until you try and that’s exactly what Sophie discovered when she set out to construct her dream DIY tiny house.

This is a tiny home that has been beautifully crafted with love and creativity. To keep costs down, many of the items in this house have been pre-loved and up-cycled which helps to give the house a real sense of character.

Now parked up on a dream spot in Byron Bay, Queensland, this home is surrounded by beautiful permaculture gardens and is totally off-grid, capturing rain water and with a good sized solar set-up. Sophie has all she needs in her little house.

This tiny house project has also enabled Sophie to create a workshop space in her home, where she now weaves her own beautiful textiles on a vintage loom. You can find out more about her artistic work via her website: https://scribblygumweavings.com/

We hope you enjoy the tour of this remarkable tiny house and meeting the wonderful woman who built it.

  1. This handcrafted tiny house is a work of art. I really love stories like this one. For those who decide to take on the journey of building their own homes with no prior experience, often, it's one of the most difficult things they will ever do. It's often also one of the most rewarding. Sophie's story is a wonderful example of what is possible. We hope you enjoy this episode! With Love, Bryce & Rasa

  2. It would be nice if you could tell what the measurements in feet inches ALot of have no clue the size

  3. A humble and beautiful person. And I agree that Sophie’s home would be a joy and sanctuary to be in.

  4. These videos would be better without the host, because the host says the same thing in every single video. I for one find myself having to skip the introductions right into the meat. Then, I go to a different video when he starts the outro. Insanity.

  5. OMG, this is yet another superlative, Bryce. A characterful home in a stunning location…. Love the colour scheme, use of wood…
Blimey, they just keep coming. Another winner and kudos to Sophie for learning woodwork in order to bring her vision to life… One amazing lady.
