  1. Your videos are always so beautiful. If I had it ti do over again, I would choose country living.

  2. I definitely needed this encouragement. We’re in that pay off debt waiting game and it’s so hard some days. But you’re so right there are things we can do differently

  3. I love seeing pictures of the kids working with you in the kitchen. I know its harder when they are little and so much more helpful as they get oldrr

  4. I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have always had a huge heart for homemaking and cooking. In 2021 I got married, and in 2022 we welcomed our first baby, who is currently 6 months old. Somewhere along the way, I lost my spark and joy in those things.

We bought our home (a hoarder home with EVERYTHING INSIDE ????) when I was 20 weeks pregnant and we are still in the midst of renovations.
One day, when my son was about 3.5 months old and I was in the midst of an anxiety attack one of your videos just randomly started playing. It was relaxing to watch bread making and see a mother of more than one not just surviving, but thriving and finding joy in your role.

I began watching many videos of yours, and many like yours too. Next thing I knew, my love and joy in homemaking and cooking came creeping back.

I'm so happy to say that I have a very active starter now and I find myself waking up in the morning and sneaking out of bed before the baby wakes up to work on bread. My house is still a disaster, and there's much work to be done before I can have my garden and get a few chickens for our small backyard, but there's hope, there's a spark, there's joy to do what I can where I can. I cannot wait until we finish our renovations and I can make my house more of a comfortable inviting home. I just want to thank you for helping me find that again.

  5. your videos are always so encouraging ❤ i have been living in the country for 15 years now and i was once a city girl ????

  6. Another relaxing video I enjoyed. This morning I made sour dough doughnuts and I said to my husband “ I wouldn’t serve these to just anyone, because they have that sour dough taste.” He said “ I don’t even think about it.” Made my day. I had them in the fridge for a day and pulled them out last night and fried them this morning. I put some in the freezer for us to pull one out with our coffee in the morning. Next is sour dough rhubarb muffins. Home making is so fun. I like your thoughts on contentment too,so true. If we start out in a lowly place and make the best of it we will be so much more appreciative when things get better.

  7. In this world of insanity, your videos GROUND me. Thank you for your testimony of love of home, family and all things worthy of praise.

  8. Thanks for the advice. Doing this really appeals to me but how little I know is a bit overwhelming and leads to procrastination a bit. ???? i grew up in the country but ended up living in the city for years. Once your in the city and your work and everything is there it can be hard to extract yourself from it. My mum never really taught me how to cook, then i was with a chef in my early 20's so i was in my late 20's before i learnt to cook anything more than 2 minute noodles, but i always cooked sauces and stuff from scratch, never out of a jar, but 'homesteading' is a whole new level. I've tried bread a couple of times, i demolished my kitchen, i neede a chisel to get the dough off everything and the bread wasn't very good ???? so I'm still on 'learning to make basic bread level' ????

  9. Your videos are so relaxing and beautifully done. I just always want bread after I watch them!! Have a blessed Easter! He is Risen!

  10. Lisa a be sure to get the lights down really low to the seed,I got starts. They need to be almost on top of the plants. Maybe an inch or two from the plants. If you leave far up they will cause your plants to get leggy

  11. This was SO encouraging. I was just beating myself up last night for still having to follow recipes step by step. I have been doing mostly from scratch for the last year or so. You are the first person I've heard say that yes, it will come later. You won't always be staring at a recipe. Thank you so much for keeping it real!!

  12. Thanks for sharing all your tips. Airways a pleasure watching your videos and listening to your podcast! P.s did you thrift those quilts at the end of your video?

  13. I've lived on thousands of acres and I've lived in town. Turn your yard into a garden, get some hens and rabbits, you'll be farming. It's so much easier and more manageable to just farm your yard.

  14. Practicing the country lifestyle in my suburb home in Australia and it's so therapeutic Lisa, I loved this video and you've inspired so many of my changes in my home.. you are amazing.. more videos like this please ????????

  15. Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list, in some months time you'll be ecstatic with the decision you made today

  16. Spread a damp hand towel under your
cutting board and it will not move at all while you are cutting.

  17. Hi Lisa, I saw you and Laura yesterday in the Target parking lot. I was so surprised I didn’t quite know what to say but thanks again for your content and for helping me find the joy in homemaking!

  18. hey girl- love the video???????? Such yummy food. Great job. You are such a pro in the kitchen. I learn something from you every video I watch????

  19. Lisa, I love these types of videos from you – – where you might do a voice over, but you are showing us what you are doing that relates to your voice over. That really engages my attention in a nice, cozy way. : ) Also, thank you for inspiring myself, and many others, to try new things – – even if we don't get it right the first time, just try……. I can now bake, "make my own" of projects & just try…. your channel has absolutely inspired me to do that! Because of your channel, I've made my own Christmas wreath
( I couldn't find what I liked in the stores, so made my own! ), my own Christmas decor for the tables & shelves – – I've put my own touch on things, while creating with my own hands & my own taste. It mainly started with not being able to find what I liked at Michaels ( during the holidays ) & deciding to create what was in my own head, at a fraction of the cost. I learned that from you!
: ) I also make my own planters now ( in the spring )…. I decided, if that woman that works at the plant nursery can make a beautiful planter for the front porch, I'll just watch what she puts in it and I'll do it myself, too! Now, I do this every spring & I've gotten so much more knowledagle about plants doing this myself – – also, saving myself so much $$, since a planter like that goes for $60.00 to $70.00! When I make my own, it costs me about $10.00 in plants & then just add soil. : )
