Corie’s “Everyone’s Favorite Baked Ziti”
1 lb Italian Sausage
1 yellow onion, diced
1 jar pasta sauce
2 jars Alfredo sauce
1 lb box rotini noodles
Parmesan and mozzarella cheese
fresh parsley
Preheat oven to 350 F. Start water to boil noodles, and boil according to package directions.
Brown ground sausage and onions in a large skillet over med-hi. Once sausage is cooked, remove excess grease and pour in pasta sauce and mix. Let simmer on low (or turn off heat) while noodles finish.
Drain noodles and get as dry as possible. Return noodles to pot and pour in alfredo sauce. Mix until coated.
In a greased 9×13 casserole dish, spoon in noodles. Then spoon on the meat sauce mixture and spread evenly over the noodles. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Top with cheeses.
Cover with foil (spraying inside of foil to prevent cheese sticking to it) and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes. Then broil at the end until cheese is to your preference.
Add a little more parsley over top and serve!!!

I tried Mac and cheese with Chick-fil-A sauce. It is so yummy . My grandma use to put cream of mushroom soup in her Mac and cheese. My kids were not fans of the cream of mushroom but the can of cream of chicken sounds amazing.

Hello! Steven inspired me to broaden my vocabulary by looking up ‘gournay’ and what ‘gournay cheese’ is.
Gournay is a region of France, like Bordeaux or Lion are also regions in France.
Gournay cheese is a cheese made in the Gournay region.
This particular cheese happens to be a soft spreadable cheese “product” but other forms of Gournay cheeses could be semi soft or hard cheeses made in that same region.
I am not sure I will ever need to know this in the future, unless I go on Jeopardy, but I HAD to know!!

I am sure I commentvtoo often , but I just love y’all! FYI on the Boursin cheese, if you can’t find it in your stores, garlic and herb cream cheese is an amazing substitute.. Boursin cheese is literally French cream cheese.
I stuff mushrooms with borsin cheese and bake them. The best!!
