  9. Hi Maangchi, thank you so much for posting this recipe! My husband and I both love yangnyum gejang so much and have always been intimidated to make it ourselves, but you make it look so easy! The most delicious gejang we ever had was at Kkottol Gejang 1beonga in your beautiful home town of Yeosu. We experienced the best food there! Gejang is also one of my mom’s favorite foods, but she doesn’t eat it as often after her dentist reprimanded her for chipping her tooth on one. ???? She told me that Koreans prefer to make soy gejang with female crabs because you get more of a “pure” flavor with the roe, whereas male crabs are generally used for yangnyum gejang. I’m not sure if that’s true, but I did notice more crabs with roe in the soy marinated version. Either way, thank you for another amazing video. I hope your family realizes how incredibly lucky they are to have you! We all are! ????❤

  14. In my country,if a crab isn't alive when you buy it,it isn't fresh. Those crabs are so nice and fat! I love yangnyeom chicken so I'll try this gejang. I love to cook Singaporean chili crab. BTW Maangchi, love the red lipstick! ????
