Steak & Chips

Steak & Chips Recipe👇

The secret to this meal is the shopping. If you go for a nice fatty steak you have no room left for the chips. I’ve use a trimmed cut of rump here and then paired it with Maris Piper potatoes. The best spud for chips varies by country. Such a yum meal. Works great with an air fryer too naturally. I’d add a side salad myself.

Nutrition – 500 kcal (39P, 57C, 14F) + 5g fibre

Ingredients –

300g potatoes
150g rump steak (lean)
10ml olive oil
Salt and pepper

Method –

1. Rest your steak at room temperature with a little salt on it.

2. Chop the spuds into chips then boil for 7 minutes

3. Toss with oil and salt and put into the oven at 200C for 40 minutes.

4. Once the chips are started to brown sear your steak for 2-3 minutes on each side, then rest and season.

This is a very odd meal to limit to 500 calories but it turned out pretty good 👍

  2. If you cook it for yourself, an overcooked steak is fine.
Besides that an accidentally overcooked steak is fine cuz, what you going to do? Waste a 50 dollar steak?

  3. Overcooked? Christ no, that's perfect anything less would be gross

  4. You make it look so easy but if i tried it my kitchen would spontaneously combust

  5. That's not overcooked, thats how all stakes should look after cooking, keeping the blood in there or leaving it a little raw is just disgusting

  6. "If you cook a steak and wedges, youll have steak and wedges" nice one mate, gamechanger even

    What a fuckwit

  7. Indeed overcooked but still looks like a really great dish!

Disclaimer: In restaurants, I always order my steak "as raw as you can legally make it"

When I make it at home I just eat it as soon as it's thawed
    😂😂😂😂

(Joking about the thawed raw meat bit.. I do like some rare as fuck steak though!)

  8. It’s not overcooked it looks perfect! It looks so odd to me when people cook it but it’s still pink inside like that’s raw-

  9. At home about 5-10 dollars at restaurant about 18-30 dollars.
