In this video we will see how to make Sutta Kathirikkai kulambu recipe in tamil. This smoked brinjal curry has a wonderful taste and texture to it. Smoking the brinjal over fire unlocks a lot of smoky flavor from the brinjal and this is contrasted by the sourness from tamarind and tomatoes. This smooth gravy can be served as a side dish for rice, chapathi and tiffin items.

Ingredients:
4 large Brinjal
2 Tomatoes
5-6 Garlic cloves
2 tbsp Oil
1/8 tsp Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
2 dry red Chilllies
1/2 Onion
Curry leaves
1/8 tsp Asafoetida
1/8 tsp Turmeric powder
3/4 tsp Cumin powder
1.5 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Chilli powder
small Tamarind(optional)
required Salt
required Water
