If you use sliced swiss on the croutons, it's like having a grill cheese on top. This is my husbands and mine Sunday dinner favourite. and it always turns out different. Paired with a crisp Caesar salad, so good.

Try adding 1/4t – 1/2t mixed in 1t water to the onions at the very beginning. They will soften, brown and cook down in about 5 minutes. You're welcome.

Just use small croutons so u can have some in every bite without having to fight with it. Onion, broth, and wine. That’s all u need. Salt and pepper to taste and u got a good soup guaranteed to give u mudbutt the following day
