The Most Annoying YouTube Comment I Get On My Channel | VIDEO ESSAY

In this video, I am sharing my opinion on the most annoying comment I get on my channel! Although I do think this comment is generally well intentioned, I find it sometimes is so dismissive that I have to address it!

  1. "Nothing in the world is more common than unsuccessful people with talent." _

  2. Do you think a little more color in your living room might help the cynics? A lifeless couch, an oversized clock, and alcohol are all I ever see. And that brown wall in the back. That makes me want to drink. I get the combination, yes it is practical. I get it, …drink, pass out on the couch, wake up, and look at the clock, but may I suggest you try something new? Venture out a bit. Be daring. Try a little pazazz. Color makes people happy and optimistic. Let nature be your guide. It doesn't have to be trendy, does it?

  3. 55 years ago my first “style” was Early American because I lived just out side Williamsburg, VA. I then went to the “Spanish” decor for a few years. I moved to Korea and went totally Oriental and kept they style for 30 years and just have gone to Country European

  4. Hahah also, when I was decorating my new home and I ended up going for a coastal color scheme but then looked around to discover I had flowers everywhere….you were the one that taught me my decor style is Coastal Grandma. ???????????? Which I think is kinda sad (I’m in my 30s), but super accurate. ????

  5. Trying to imagine why someone watched a video by a designer and felt obligated to leave that comment at all. Like, what did you think a designer was going to talk about? Would they maybe, say, give design advice? Surprise. You don’t want to hear it, keep scrolling.

  6. It will always blow my mind how some people, even in a huge audience, will come away with a completely twisted, convoluted take on the subject. I'm convinced they dozed off midway or started daydreaming (usually about what they would say as a critic) and just didn't LISTEN, yet feel compelled to comment, making themselves look ridiculous. Poor Joyce… you walked right into that one, didn't you, hun?

  7. I am impressed you came up with that many reasons for hating that comment! ????

Well thought out. I actually really enjoyed it.

  8. I have my own amazing style. I watch you because you are fun, positive, and I like your comments on people’s homes that they send pics of to you. Negative comments come from negative people. You are a hoot.

  9. Why are people watching your videos and then being mad about getting what you said the video would be about lol

  10. Hey Nick. Maybe an unpopular opinion, who knows, but I'd love to watch videos about the science of interior design! Doesn't have to be a lecture, but maybe taking a look at examples and explaining why they work? I'd love that and I think everyone would benefit from that content.

  11. Thank you for your very candid video this week. I enjoy all your videos whether I agree with some of your choices or not. You have a way with expressing yourself which is refreshing in these days of political correctness – a former communist term apparently!. Just a tidbit of information. Keep them coming Nick, the world need videos with content like yours!

  12. It’s like *decorate however you want

*please know that doing this will probably mean it’s not going to turn out designer friendly and universally beloved

There’s a kind of entitlement that comes with thinking “decorate however you want!” and just assuming it’s going to turn out great. Like, Joyces of the world, that’s why we’re here. To learn from the expert. ????
