The New Tesla Wireless Charger is AMAZING

Tesla made Apple’s Air Power before Apple could make Apples Air Power! All thanks to a 3rd party company named Free Power of course. Today we get to take apart Tesla’s Wireless charging platform. A pretty fancy little device that cost 300 dollars. BUT… with good reason. There are 30 coils of copper inside this thing and it looks AMAZING!

  1. it feels like doing a good deed just watching your videos. im atheist but, god bless you Zack

  2. Thx for sharing, it will pair well with his new phone ???? To be able to see the coils would be worth alittle extra, just for fun, Maybe have a thin felty pad you could put over it to soften the had surface on the clear version once the "fun" wore off. Great work, Both of you !!!!

  3. This makes as much as sense as driving a 2,5 ton box to transport 1 person. 100 times the resources to achieve the same thing, capitalism…

  4. My dumbass first thought that this was to charge the actual car???? like you just drive into your garage and park over a wireless charging pad????

  5. I NEED that cyber truck and humvee hot wheels. I have a hummer ev, tesla x, lucid air, tesla y, mustang mach e, and rivian r1t

  6. I bet this was taken from one of the Tesla cars and just sold as a stand alone unit

  7. This tech is so inefficient it really is just wasteful. Just think you are only 60 percent efficient and this is to achieve less than a mm gap. And the only thing needed to get to 100 percent is a set of contacts. So in summary you are adding more copper to the charger and the phone electronics. You are losing about 40 percent of the power put in and it will be slower charging unless they stack more copper in the charger but then you lose even more energy. And finally the pay off is you just put your phone on a pad instead of a wire or a cradle (they could put some simple contacts on the phone for way cheaper than making the phone able to get wirelessly charged).

  8. I would like to see how this device performs long term. Did the designers address the heat issues that Apple couldn't or did they just say the hell with it and just built it anyway.

  9. I know it's kinda your "thing", but I can't stand seeing you gouge into the finish of brand-new product. It's worse than nails on a chalkboard.

  10. Fun fact if they had let tesla give out free electricity we wouldn’t be able to use laptops or phones

  11. it is wise to always have a power adapter capable of slightly more output than what is necessary.

  12. Nice to look at but these chargers are an incredible waste both of material and the fact that there is energy loss in the wireless transmission. Just use a cable and you’ll save $300…

  13. Wireless charging is stupid. Tesla is just propagating stupidity. You're wasting a ton of power to charge your devices slower.
    That's stupid.
