  1. Unless money's no object and you REALLY love Breguet, it makes no sense to get this over a Breitling 765, which is what inspired the Type XX.

  2. Love your videos – is there any chance of doing a review on the new Longines Conquest 2023?

  3. This isn't bad, but why would anyone want to spend almost $20k for it, when Type XX ref. 3800 are to be found second hand in impeccable condition with box and papers for $5-7k?

  4. This is the equivalent of copying another person’s homework. We wait for a decade for new designs … and we get this dreck … for 18k. What a joke.

  5. I hate the 3 o'clock wheel that cuts into the hour numbers. I hate the ugly date window at 4:30. Love Breguet, but would never buy one of these. Love the older type 20's and 21's. Too large also. Looks a little cheap.

  6. This might be the worst looking watch at the price point I’ve seen. That date window is horrible. Just terrible. Breguet you must do better.

  7. Type XX was never made by Breguet, it has nothing to do with their heritage. They were produced under contract by Mathey Tissot, so neither the design, nor manufacturing was done by Breguet

  8. I own a Breguet Type XX Transatlantique ref 3820 from 2004. Which I acquired in 2009 in mint condition and full set. I love the fact it’s not so common, looks great and runs well. I always get compliments when I wear it.

  9. I've always liked the Type XX/XXI. I aspire to own the 3810 Transatlantique. I'd much rather have one of them than the Daytona.

With that said, I'm not sure that I am excited for this release. A new movement is intriguing, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to pay 2-3 times the price of the one that I want for one that is new.

  10. Breitling's new release in 42mm is almost identical (arguably better looking, without an ugly date window) and 1/3rd the cost.

The only thing I prefer about the Breguet over the Breitling is the brushed flanks.

  11. Heritage and movement do NOT overcome bad design. Shame they missed the mark.

  12. An absolutely disappointing release by Breguet. A totally half-baked, uninspired design that lacks in fluidity and cohesion. A clear example that the Breguet design department is essentially non-existent and simply appealing to Swatch shareholders, considering the hefty price tag and lack of finishing detail. No coin-egde case, movement looks unfinished, horrific date window and text, in this case the pictures really speak for themselves. Save a ton of cash and just buy the previous Type XXI or an older Type XX – get more watch for less.

  13. I have something a lot cheaper and similar.. longines big eye purchase back in 2018. ????
