I bought a roll of PVC cuttable anti slip mat. I use it under my chopping board, under cake board when decorating cakes and in the boot of my car for when I'm delivering cakes. Stops it moving. I got the roll so I could cut it to the sizes I wanted. It' great stuff.

Literally never had this problem. Your work-surface is weird. What material is it made of? Mine is wood, and my wooden board does not slip on it.

Shelf liner is a godsend in the kitchen, use it to open up stubborn bottles and jars all the time

I just don't have this issue. Either I'm cutting straight down, or if I'm cutting sideways then I'm holding the thing that I'm cutting so it doesn't move. I'm pretty sure I've seen every episode of sorted with this chopping board and they don't need one then either so to me this is solving a problem that doesn't exist, like when the UK left the EU.

Usually a wet dishcloth is more than enough to keep any chopping block from sliding around. Plus you can use it to wipe the table afterwards because it's still moist.
