  2. I've been watching your videos for a while, but have now officially subscribed. The way the community speaks about Tuck, shows your character. I don't just want to learn about gardening, I want to be a part of your wonderful online community. They continuously comment about how amazing of a teacher you are, and how Tuck has been the best supervisor, working hard. I am sorry for your loss, so I will absolutely grow some carrots, for Tuck. Thank you for your fantastic channel.

  3. lol 'sunniest spot they love sun' in Texas is an oxymoron. ANYTHING down here that 'loves sun' will have a change of heart in the summer (especially August, we call it 'the doorstep to Hades' month). By May if you're in the south you should have ALL your summer plants out and growing. We start planting spring stuff in February.

  4. Definitely will plant carrots for Tuck! Thanks for the idea 🙂

  5. I've learned to early plant in pots only my FROST resistant crops as early as I want.. They do great. Basil and other cold sensitive plants can wait to get started much later. In fact, here in Michigan, I even find tomato starts from dropped fruit from the last year. The seeds survived the winter and sprouted when the soil got very warm.

  6. Hey James – is the wood you use around your beds pressure-treated? I heard that that can leach chemicals into the bed but perhaps you can use that for the framing?

  7. Hi James from former Jersey kids, Jen, 🐶Sergio & Baron Blu🐕!

  8. I'm going to plant some carrots today in Tuck's memory. Hearts for Tuck ❤❤❤ While it is sad it does make me much more happy than sad seeing clips of him 🐶❤❤❤

  9. A squirrel (or 2 or 3) went through my whole peanut patch this year, a day after I planted them..😑 like 100 peanuts. Gone. I'm debating replanting them. Maybe cover with straw?? Idk

Question: any tips for dealing with voles? I've lost two squash plants already…

  10. That’s cruel—didn’t your mama ever teach you not to eat yummies in front of others?? 😂😅just joking but can’t help salivating! 👍🏼😉

  11. You need to have comedian Dusty Slay on your channel. He has talked about you on the NateLand Podcast several times now.
