This Blue Collar Job Pays More Than You Think!

NO CRUMBS

But really — ask me about pursuing a career in the skilled trades and I will reply “how much time do you have”

There are 2 things going on:
1. Skilled trades are a great career path with high satisfaction, job security, and wide availability
2. The baby boomer generation is retiring 5:2, so that means every year, there is a growing demand for skilled trades people.

Yes, many of these careers can be physically challenging—but not all!

You want to know the #1 fastest growing, most in-demand job in the United States?

WIND TURBINE TECHNICIAN. Random, but true!

Don’t count out the skilled trades.

You got this! 👏#careeradvice #trades #skilledtrades #babyboomer #genz #college #highschool #apprenticeship

  1. Blue collar workers make the most money. They have the extra cash that allows them to be amazing investors. They also usually have a lot of experience with owning or managing their own business since a lot can decide their own hours.

What kind of brain dead person throws away this golden ticket of experience and possible cash flow?

  2. While we should be pushing our politicians to protect jobs from being replaced by AI, there is something to be said for blue collars. I've seen a lot of people assume that blue collar workers are dumb, but some of the smartest people I know work hands on and never went to college. And I've met a LOT of college graduates/white collars who couldn't pour water out of a boot if the instructions were on the heel. Blue collars deserve to be recognized for their hard work and not looked down upon because they're getting their hands dirty or never got a college degree.

  3. Got into an argument with my wife’s aunt about our sons going to college. She said they “Have to” & I said bs. If they want to, I’ll help in anyway I can, but the world will always need plumbers, electricians, welders, machinists, etc. wish I’d realized it , or had someone tell me that when I was younger.

  4. Trump and Musk are on the track to close all unions… have you heard about his new order? They block government workers from creating and joining unions.

  5. Couldn’t get the money for grad school, cannot make more than 35k with undergraduate, have been driving semi’s for 8 months and loving every single second of it! Job security, so much adventure (have my two little dogs with me while we cross cross the country!) and making great $$. Do it!!

  6. I’ve been respecting blue collar careers even before the shift that has been happening over the past 10 years!

  7. I make more money than my PRETENTIOUS cousin who went to North Western!!! It’s fucking FABULOUS rubbing it in her face because SHE. STILL. WORKS. AT. STARBUCKS!!!!

  8. South Park did an episode related to this. The plumbers and other blue-collar workers were the only valuable jobs after everyone became too lazy due to A.I., who became the next billionaires. 😂

  9. Big escalator out here sending its best agents. My debt and I will be elsewhere, thank you.

  10. I know it's not quite the same, but I graduated today from a tech college as an MLT, and I feel like I'll have a very good life ahead of me actually working and helping people. Never going into admin stuff because I want to actually do things, not just shift numbers around and make life hard for people actually getting work done. My brother is an electrician though and this video fits his situation chefs kiss perfectly!

  11. When women demanded to enter the workforce they never had those jobs in mind

  12. I am dpimg electrical engineering and my school is actually also making us do apprenticeships at companies for at least 1 or 2 semesters
