This Fire Fungus Will Save Your Life in a Survival Situation #survival #bushcraft #camping

The fungus you see is called Fomes fomentarius, also known as tinder fungus or “fire fungus.” It grows on dead birch and beech trees and has been used for centuries as a natural firestarter even by ancient humans like Ötzi the Iceman.

I found this incredible fungus growing on a tree deep in the forest. Then, using a sharp, dry edge from a broken log, I began rubbing the of fungus to generate heat. After enough time and effort, a tiny ember formed — proof that with the right knowledge and patience, nature provides everything you need to survive.

No tools. No tricks. Just survival, the primitive way.

Может уже стоит сказать что зажигалку изобрели и стоит меньше 50 центов , а ещё за 200 лет до этого спички изобрели , те вообще меньше 5 центов стоят 😂😂😂

Tinder fungus sounds like something you catch after a successful night of swiping right.

roman legionaries used such mushrooms as tinder (it seems it should work also in rainy situations -but i'm not sure)
