  1. Mark, I just searched "ferment" on your channel with excellent results. Thanks for the info.

  2. Any forgotten ones that have yellowed are fab slow-cooked into a soup with pork or chicken. "Old cucumber soup" is a Chinese classic.

  3. I've tried growing cucumbers a number of times. Always ended in disaster with harvest ruined by buggs.

  4. At 6:03 into the video is that a cockie screaming in the background? Lol I was watching this with my headphones on late at night and just asked my goffins cockatoo to be quiet cause I thought it was him! Great video by the way!

  5. I have never had any success growing Cucumbers, I always end up with mildew, no matter how carefully I water, so how on earth do you water yours without the plants and leaves getting wet

  6. It sounds good but doesn't work for those of us that grow vertically because of limited garden space. Your version lifts the cukes off the ground but the spread takes up almost as the commercial growing style would.

  7. Best part of summer when you have too many. Make a cold cucumber soup. It's delicious, there are about a million different recipes for it, so if you Don't like the first try another. I live in he south and there's nothing so light and tasty when the real heat hits.

  8. Been growing my cucumbers on a overhead trellis for years now and they ALWAYS produce more than I can process

  9. Nice crop of onions, how do you store them as you probably don't have a root cellar? Just got back from GC last week, nothing but rain, I understand the slosh you're walking through.

  10. You can keep the cuke juice, but I'd be interested in your fermenting recipe and process. We pickle/jar.

  11. You should stack 2 more bricks on top of your existing layer and create a second layer for next year!

  12. What a nice idea. I may use this on this season here. I do not plan to get cucumbers, but I have some kind of pumpkins and other things that like to get up to treillis so I may use it like that. It could probably shade a bit other plants which is a nice added benefit.
