This Huge Volcano Is Due to Erupt – What If It Happened Today

What would happen if Vesuvius Volcano erupted today? It’s erupted many times in the past. In fact, that’s how it got its shape. It’s made of multiple layers of hardened lava, pumice, and ash. Vesuvius last erupted in 1944. But a major blast happened there nearly 2,000 years ago. It buried the Roman towns of Pompeii and Herculaneum and decimated the surrounding areas.

The tragic eruption have left a deep mark in modern history. Mount Vesuvius is regarded as one of the deadliest volcanos in the human history. But today, 3 million people live less than 20 milesfrom the volcano, and 600,000 live in the danger zone. Large eruptions happen every few thousand years, usually after long periods of calm. And the trouble is, Vesuvius is long overdue for its next one…

  1. Hi everyone, I am going to leanr a language out of german and french. can you please tell me which one I should chose. Please tell only 1.

  2. You missed the part about there being a pyroclastic cloud and also the massive explosion that occurs after the magma chamber empties and collapses in on itself.
The whole area would be covered. Solidified lava yes but not anywhere close to the amount of debris, rock and ash.
You're focusing too much on the lava flow, this isn't really a main point of focus for this type of volcano.

  3. You forgot the worst aspect of Vesuvius's eruption: The pyroclastic flow, the deadliest and most destructive part of any volcano

  4. if u have a big eruption like pompeii there wouldnt be a lot of lava flows. there would be ash and pumice which will begin to fall! like pebbles falling from the sky, darkening it. This can go on pretty long and then pyroclastic surges would happen.

  5. I think that there are 52 Volcanoes just in the month of April. I predict 38 more Volcanoes erupting. Mt. Vesuvius is about to erupt. The tremors will be around 8.6 Magnitude and Pyroclastic flows and eruptions of lava shooting miles into the air. Plumes and ash, sulfuric and hydrochloric acid is now in the air in thick concentrations. Thousands are in danger and rocks will be thrown everywhere around the Volcano.

  6. I have climbed that volcano, there are two craters up there, the view at the very top is awesome so narrow think you will fall off.

  7. Do some videos on La Soufrière the volcano ???? of St.Vincent & the Grenadines there’s also another under the sea in between mainland and Bequia ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

  8. You can watch and listen all you want, when is it time to get a of the people out of there.
What plans have been put in place.
15 days get out in 10; better to get out now!!

  9. but if you close your eyes… dOES it alwast feels like nothing change at all but if you close ur eyes…
